Having retired in 2005 after an active life in home renovation, I contemplated what my retirement future held , that was until I read Caravan & Motorhome – April 2005, the answer was there on page 48 in an article written for one Reiner Gudd titled “A Ripsnorter Repro” a little red teardrop camper. That triggered my imagination that I could continue to use tools and make good use of budget travel without wet canvas. Pulling garden weeds or joining the local bowls club held no attraction for me so with Bunnings homebuilders warehouse and miscellaneous material suppliers close at hand I made a start at designing and building my own little red Teardrop camper. My enthusiasm is still there which is evident by the crop of weeds in the garden and neglecting the planting of spring bulbs, my wife May has suggested that Bunnings should erect a plaque honouring my patronage or at least install a mattress in their store for me. If anyone is contemplating a great hobby to take up, try building a teardrop camper, the rewards make it well worth while. Graham
