Peter is a Vietnam veteran who needed a project and loves the outdoors.  He didn't have a lot of confidence in his teardrop building skills at first, but with some help from his mates and Reiner, he dived in and and came up with the ripper you see below.  Peter is taking his teardrop to Cape York in August 2006 and will report with photos and stories when he gets back.

Reiner had a good look at his finished teardrop and was very impressed.  Peter's teardrop has a 60L water tank, 12V pump, fixed sink and a compact (5") wardrobe cleverly integrated in the front of the teardrop to store ironed shirts for the odd alcohol free night at the RSL.

Virgin Cape York Tour

This is it!  Peter had a purpose when he started this teardrop.  He was headed for Cape York and needed somewhere comfy to sleep and eat; somewhere dry and safe - off the ground and the scaly and creepy crawly. Not only was he able to make it through the rough terrain of the Queensland north with only a few minor hiccups... but each evening he was the first to finish setup; to sit, relax and open a beer as the sun set over the picturesque landscape.
